Bad Day at Work ((RP for

Jul. 6th, 2009 10:59 pmDays passed, nearly stretching into a fortnight. Now, upon the dais of the great hall, two obsidian thrones looked over the audience chamber, one set slightly to the side and back, its lines carved with more elegance and delicacy than the stern angles and planes of the larger stone seat. Countless souls had paraded before the ruler of the Underworld and his Lady, were judged and sent on to their ultimate destinations. Lord Hades himself was greatly busy with the ruling of the realm itself, and so was known to work late into the night, every night.
The truth be told, Hades admitted to himself as he stalked through the quiet, darkened corridors of the palace, he was keeping the hours not only due to the demands of his crown and throne, but from his concerns regarding the Lady Persephone. Hades had promised the girl that he would not summon her to his bed that first night, and he had kept his word. Indeed, he had proceeded to keep that word ever since. He was still concerned about the temptation Persephone presented to him, and he also wanted to defer to her sensibilities, unsure if she was ready for such relations.
And were the Lord of the Underworld in the calm and stable mood that had become typical of his demeanor of late, then it was possible he would not have considered making that night different. But Hades was unhappy, his nerves and temper near frayed by the rigors of his duties.
He swung the door to his bedchambers open with a scowl on his face. The servant following at his heels attempted to ask Hades a question, but the Olympian spun on the man. "They are to remain in the dungeon and await my pleasure to hear their judgment again, and no earlier. Is that clear?" The servant scurried away, and Hades slammed the door behind him. It was dark eyes that raised toward the other end of the room to find Persephone waiting.
